Davy Graham

Davy Graham (born David Michael Gordon Graham, 1940 – 2008) was an English guitarist, singer, and songwriter who was an important figure in the 1960s British folk revival. He was known for introducing the DADGAD guitar tuning, which has since become popular among many guitarists. Graham was also an influential figure in the development of fingerstyle guitar and British blues.

Graham released his debut album, Folk, Blues and Beyond, in 1964 and is considered to be his standout album. The album included his most famous composition, "Anji", which has been recorded by many other artists, including Simon and Garfunkel and Paul Simon. Other notable songs from the album include "The Battle of Evermore", "Soho", "The Road to Morocco" and "The Lady".

Graham released many other albums over the years, including Midnight Man (1969), Hat (1971), Large as Life and Twice as Natural (1973) and The Complete Guitarist (1985).

An interesting fact about Davy Graham is that he was a major influence on the folk-rock group Pentangle, who named their first album after his song "Basket of Light".
