Dave Mason is an English singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who achieved fame as a founding member of the British rock band Traffic. Mason has recorded and performed as a solo artist, and collaborated with many renowned musicians, including Jimi Hendrix, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Eric Clapton, and Stephen Stills.

Mason's best-known songs include "Feelin' Alright", "Only You Know and I Know", "We Just Disagree" and "World in Changes". His 1970 album, Alone Together, is considered a classic of the singer-songwriter genre, featuring the hit single "Only You Know and I Know". Mason's 1972 album, Headkeeper, is also notable, featuring the single "Sad and Deep as You".

An interesting fact about Dave Mason is that he played a key role in the development of the concept album, producing the classic Traffic album "John Barleycorn Must Die" in 1970. He was also a frequent collaborator with Stevie Winwood, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Traffic in 2004.
