D.O.A. Vinyl Records

D.O.A. is a punk rock band from Vancouver, Canada. The band was formed in 1978 by lead singer and guitarist Joe Keithley and quickly gained attention for their explosive, aggressive sound. They are credited with helping to pioneer the hardcore punk sound and inspiring many of the bands that would follow in the 1980s and beyond. D.O.A.’s standout albums include “Something Better Change” (1980), “Bloodied But Unbowed” (1981), “War On 45” (1982), “Hard Rain Falling” (1984), and “True (North) Strong and Free” (1988). Some of the band’s best-known songs include “The Prisoner”, “Disco Sucks”, and “Fucked Up Baby”. An interesting fact about D.O.A. is that the band’s name stands for “Dead On Arrival”, an acronym that was popularized by the movie of the same name. The band chose the name as a statement against the violence and destruction caused by the Vietnam War.
