Cowboy Junkies Vinyl Records

Cowboy Junkies are a Canadian folk-rock band formed in Toronto, Ontario in 1985. The band consists of siblings Michael Timmins, Peter Timmins and Margo Timmins, plus longtime bassist Alan Anton. The band is best known for their 1988 album The Trinity Session, which was recorded in a single take in a church in Toronto. This album contained the song "Sweet Jane", which was featured on the soundtrack of the movie Natural Born Killers.

Other standout albums by Cowboy Junkies include The Caution Horses (1990), Pale Sun Crescent Moon (1993), and Open (2001). These albums all feature a mix of folk, blues, and country influences, as well as the band's signature haunting, introspective lyrics.

An interesting fact about Cowboy Junkies is that their 1997 album Miles From Our Home was partially funded by fan donations. The band ran a crowdfunding campaign through their website, and more than 1,000 fans donated a total of $60,000, which allowed the band to record the album with minimal outside label interference.
