Charlie Musselwhite is an American electric blues harmonica player, singer, and songwriter. He was born in Mississippi in 1944 and began playing harmonica as a teenager. His first professional gigs were in Memphis, where he played with the legendary bluesman Muddy Waters. He moved to Chicago in 1966, where he made his first recordings.

Musselwhite is best known for his solo albums, including "Stand Back" (1967), "Tennessee Woman" (1970), and "Stone Blues" (1996). He has also released several collaborations, including "Delta Hardware" (2002) with Ben Harper, and "Get Up!" (2011) with Cyndi Lauper. His most successful songs include "My Road Lies in Darkness" (1967), "The Blues Keep Following Me Around" (1970), and "The Well" (2011).

An interesting fact about Charlie Musselwhite is that he was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in 2010, and in 2016 he was honored with a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
