Carmel Vinyl Records

Carmel is an English rock/pop band that was formed in London in 1982 by singer/songwriter/guitarist Carmel McCourt. The band is best known for their singles “Bad Day”, “More More More”, and “Storm.”

Carmel's first album, The Drum Is Everything, was released in 1983 and contained the single “Bad Day”, which became a hit in the UK, Europe, and Japan. Their second album, Set Me Free, was released in 1985 and contained the singles “More More More” and “Storm”.

The band's third album, The Falling, was released in 1988 and featured a more electronic sound. The album included the single “It’s All in the Game”, which was a minor hit in the UK.

Carmel's fourth album, World’s Gone Mad, was released in 1992 and featured the singles “I'm On Fire” and “Big Girl (You Are Beautiful)”. The band has since released two more albums, Stained Glass Window in 2003 and The Promise in 2012.

An interesting fact about Carmel is that they were the first English band to be signed to Japan’s Victor Entertainment.
