Break Machine Vinyl Records

Break Machine was an American electro hip-hop group from the Bronx, New York, founded in 1983 by DJ Charles Rocker and MC Kurtis Blow. They were one of the first hip-hop groups to use samples and incorporate new wave music into their songs.

Their first and most successful single was "Street Dance" which was released in 1984 and reached number 14 on the UK Singles Chart. The single also appeared on their self-titled debut album Break Machine, released in 1985. The album was a commercial success and peaked at number 37 on the US Billboard 200 chart. It also spawned the singles "Break Dance – Electric Boogie" and "Don't Stop the Rock".

Their second album, Get on the Move, was released in 1986 and featured the single "Lets Break". The song was a hit in the United Kingdom and reached number 27 on the UK Singles Chart.

An interesting fact about Break Machine is that they were the first hip-hop group to perform on the American Bandstand television show. They also appeared on the television show Soul Train.
