Bonnie Tyler is a Welsh singer, songwriter, and musician who rose to fame in the late 1970s and early 1980s with her powerful, soulful voice and memorable songs. Tyler first started performing in local pubs and clubs in Wales, eventually moving to London in the mid-1970s to pursue a music career.

Tyler's breakout album was her 1978 album Natural Force, which included the hit singles "It's a Heartache" and "Lost in France". These two singles helped propel Tyler to international fame and she went on to release many more successful albums throughout the 1980s and 1990s, including Faster Than the Speed of Night (1983), Secret Dreams and Forbidden Fire (1986), and Hide Your Heart (1988).

Tyler is perhaps best known for her hit single "Total Eclipse of the Heart" (1983), which was her highest charting single and is her signature song. Other notable songs by Tyler include "Holding Out for a Hero" (1984), "Here She Comes" (1981), and "If You Were a Woman (And I Was a Man)" (1986).

An interesting fact about Bonnie Tyler is that she was the first Welsh artist to have a number one single in the UK and the first female artist to have two number one singles in the same year.
