Bobby Darin (born Walden Robert Cassotto in 1936) was an American singer, songwriter, and actor. He performed in many different musical styles, including pop, rock, jazz, folk, and country. He is best remembered for his hit singles "Splish Splash" (1958), "Dream Lover" (1959), and "Mack the Knife" (1959).

Darin's most successful albums included That's All (1959), which featured the hits "Dream Lover" and "Beyond the Sea", and Bobby Darin Sings Ray Charles (1960). He also released several albums of cover versions of popular songs, including The Bobby Darin Story (1960) and Bobby Darin at the Copa (1960).

Some of Darin's other popular songs include "If I Were a Carpenter" (1966), "Multiplication" (1962), and "Lazy River" (1961).

An interesting fact about Bobby Darin is that he was an early proponent of environmentalism. He wrote and recorded the song "Simple Song of Freedom" in 1969 in support of the environmental movement.
