Bobby Brown is an American singer, songwriter, rapper, dancer, and actor. He is best known as a pioneer of New Jack Swing, a fusion of R&B, hip hop, and funk. Brown's career began in the late 1980s as a member of the R&B boy band New Edition.

Brown's most successful solo album to date is Don't Be Cruel (1988). The album spawned the top 10 hit singles "My Prerogative", "Every Little Step", and "Rock Wit'cha", and has sold over 8 million copies worldwide. The album also earned Brown his first Grammy Award nomination.

Brown's follow-up album, Bobby (1992), was equally successful. It featured the hit singles "Humpin' Around", "Good Enough", and "Get Away".

Other standout albums and songs by Brown include "Don't Stop the Party" (1993), "Forever" (1997), and "Two Can Play That Game" (2001).

An interesting fact about Bobby Brown is that he is the only artist to have seven consecutive top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart from one album.
