Black Oak Arkansas is an American Southern rock band from Black Oak, Arkansas. The band formed in the late 1960s and has been active in various forms ever since. The original lineup consisted of Jim Dandy Mangrum (vocals), Harvey Jett (guitar), Pat Daugherty (bass), Wayne Evans (drums), Ricky Reynolds (guitar) and Stanley Knight (keyboards).

The band released several albums in the 1970s, including their debut self-titled album in 1971, followed by High On The Hog in 1973, Raunch 'N' Roll Live in 1974, and Street Party in 1975. They also released the single "Jim Dandy" in 1973, which became their biggest hit, reaching #26 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Other notable albums and songs include If An Angel Came To See You, Would You Make Her Feel At Home (1974), "Hot and Nasty" (1976), and "Lord Have Mercy on My Soul" (1977).
