Biosphere Vinyl Records

Biosphere is a Norwegian ambient music project formed in 1990 by Geir Jenssen. It has released a wide variety of music, ranging from ambient and drone to electronica and even some house music. Biosphere is widely considered to be one of the pioneers of ambient techno.

Biosphere's most popular albums are Substrata (1997) and Cirque (2000). Substrata was an international success and is often cited as one of the best ambient albums of all time. Cirque was a more experimental album, blending traditional ambient music with experimental electronica. Other notable albums by Biosphere include Patashnik (1994), Dropsonde (2006), and The Senja Recordings (2009).
