Big Star Vinyl Records

Big Star was an influential American rock band formed in 1971 in Memphis, Tennessee. The band's original lineup consisted of Alex Chilton on vocals and guitar, Chris Bell on guitar and vocals, Jody Stephens on drums, and Andy Hummel on bass. They were known for their eclectic blend of power pop, blues, and rock 'n' roll, and for pioneering the alternative rock genre.

The band released three studio albums during their time together, all of which were critically acclaimed: #1 Record (1972), Radio City (1974), and Third/Sister Lovers (1978). #1 Record was lauded for its power-pop sound and is often regarded as one of the greatest albums of all time, while Radio City and Third/Sister Lovers were praised for their experimental elements and unique sound.

Some of the band's most popular songs include "In the Street," "September Gurls," and "Thirteen," all of which were featured on #1 Record, and "Back of a Car," which was featured on Radio City.

An interesting fact about Big Star is that, despite their limited commercial success, the band has had a huge influence on the music industry and has been cited as an influence by several prominent artists, including REM, The Replacements, Wilco, and The Flaming Lips.
