Big Audio Dynamite (B.A.D.) is a British musical group formed in 1984 by former Clash guitarist Mick Jones and music producer Don Letts. The group is noted for their eclectic blend of musical styles, fusing elements of punk rock, dance music, hip hop, reggae, and funk.

B.A.D. released their debut album, This is Big Audio Dynamite, in 1985. The album was a critical and commercial success, featuring the singles "E=MCΒ²", "The Bottom Line", and "Medicine Show". The album also featured the highly acclaimed cover version of "Rush".

Their second album, No. 10 Upping Street, was released in 1986. The album featured the hit single "Bad". The single was a major success in the United Kingdom, peaking at number five on the UK Singles Chart. The album was also noted for its combination of rap and rock elements, as well as its sample-heavy production style.

The band's third album, Tighten Up, Vol. 88, was released in 1988 and featured the singles "Just Play Music!", "Contact", and "The Globe". The album was seen as a departure from the band's previous albums, as it featured a more electronic-oriented sound.

The band's fourth and final album, Megatop Phoenix, was released in 1989. The album featured the singles "E=MCΒ²" (remixed by the Prodigy) and "Hollywood Boulevard".

Big Audio Dynamite's most successful single was "The Globe", which peaked at number 11 on the UK Singles Chart in 1988.

An interesting fact about Big Audio Dynamite is that their sound was heavily influenced by their lead singer's past experiences as a reggae DJ.
