Beth Gibbons Vinyl Records

Beth Gibbons is an English singer and songwriter from Exeter, England. She is best known as the lead vocalist for the band Portishead, which she formed with Geoff Barrow in 1991. She has also released several solo albums, including her debut album Out of Season (2002), which was a collaboration with former Talk Talk bassist Paul Webb.

Portishead's 1994 debut album Dummy is widely considered to be one of the defining albums of the trip-hop genre. The album spawned several singles, including "Sour Times", "Glory Box", and "Mysterons", all of which were hits in the UK and abroad. The group's follow-up album, 1997's Portishead, was also a critical and commercial success.

Beth Gibbons' solo work has been acclaimed for its haunting, emotive sound and lyrics. Her standout albums include Out of Season (2002), with Paul Webb, and its follow-up, the solo album, Rustin Man (2003). Her solo songs include "Mysteries", "Romance", and "Mysterons", which all achieved critical acclaim.

An interesting fact about Beth Gibbons is that she was born with a phobia of singing in public, which she only overcame after joining Portishead.
