Beck is an American singer-songwriter, musician, and record producer. He first gained fame with his breakthrough single "Loser" in 1994. He went on to become one of the most successful alternative rock acts of the 1990s and early 2000s, with albums such as Odelay (1996), Mutations (1998), and Sea Change (2002). His most successful single, "Where It's At" (1996), won two Grammy Awards.

Beck's standout albums include Odelay, which spawned the hit singles "Where It's At" and "Devil's Haircut"; Mutations, which was critically acclaimed and featured the single "Tropicalia"; and Sea Change, which featured the singles "Lost Cause" and "The Golden Age".

An interesting fact about Beck is that he was one of the first artists to successfully bridge the gap between hip-hop, rock, and electronica. He has released music in all three genres and often incorporates elements from each into his songs.
