Barclay James Harvest Vinyl Records

Barclay James Harvest is an English progressive rock band formed in Oldham, Lancashire, England, in 1966. The band is known for their pioneering blending of classical and rock music, lyrical content dealing with personal and social comment, and their signature use of mellotron and guitar-orchestrated soundscapes.

The band's first two albums, Everyone Is Everybody Else (1974) and Octoberon (1976), are widely considered to be the band's standout albums. The former spawned the single "Hymn," which became the band's best-known song and a classic of progressive rock. Other notable songs by Barclay James Harvest include "Mockingbird," "Rock'n'Roll Star," and "Life is for Living."

An interesting fact about Barclay James Harvest is that they are one of the few bands to have ever played a concert inside the walls of the Kremlin. The concert was held in December of 1990, and the band was invited to perform by the then-President of the Soviet Union, Mikhail Gorbachev.
