Arthur Rubinstein Vinyl Records

Arthur Rubinstein (1887-1982) was a Polish-born American pianist who became one of the most renowned classical music performers of the 20th century. He was born in Łódź, Poland, and first began studying piano at the age of six. He made his debut in 1901, at the age of 13, with a performance of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5.

Rubinstein's acclaimed performances of works by Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Grieg, Liszt, Mendelssohn, Mozart, and Schubert, among others, earned him a place among the greatest classical music performers of all time. He also wrote a memoir, My Many Years, which has been widely acclaimed.

Some of Rubinstein's most acclaimed recordings include his performances of Chopin's piano concertos, his recording of the three Brahms piano sonatas, his recording of the complete Beethoven piano sonatas, and his performance of the Debussy Preludes. His live performances at Carnegie Hall are also legendary.

An interesting fact about Rubinstein is that he was able to memorize entire symphonies and concertos. He was able to recall any piece of music he had ever heard after only one hearing. This made him an invaluable resource to conductors who were unable to find a suitable pianist to perform a piece.
