Art Garfunkel

Art Garfunkel is an American singer and songwriter best known for his work as one-half of the folk duo Simon & Garfunkel, with Paul Simon. The duo achieved success in the 1960s with their albums and singles, including "The Sound of Silence," "Mrs. Robinson," and "Bridge Over Troubled Water."

Garfunkel's solo career began in 1973 with the release of his debut album Angel Clare. He has since released several albums, including Breakaway (1975), Watermark (1977), Fate for Breakfast (1979), Scissors Cut (1981), Lefty (1988), and Everything Waits to Be Noticed (2002). His most recent album, Some Enchanted Evening, was released in 2008.

Garfunkel has also recorded several singles, including "I Only Have Eyes for You" (1975), "All I Know" (1973), "Bright Eyes" (1979), and "A Heart in New York" (1986).

An interesting fact about Art Garfunkel is that he holds a bachelor's degree in Art History from Columbia University. He has also written two books about his life and career, What Is It All But Luminous: Notes From an Underground Man (2017) and What Is It All But Luminous: Notes From an Artist's Journey (2018).
