Arcadia Vinyl Records

Arcadia was a short-lived synthpop group that was active between 1985 and 1986. It was formed by two members of Duran Duran, Simon Le Bon and Nick Rhodes. They released their debut album, So Red the Rose, in 1985 and had two UK top 10 singles, “Election Day” and “The Flame”. The album went platinum and reached the top 10 in the UK.

Their second album, entitled The Promise, was released in 1986 and had the hit single “Goodbye Is Forever”, which reached number 8 in the UK charts.

The band split up shortly afterwards and Le Bon and Rhodes returned to Duran Duran.

Some of their standout songs include “Election Day”, “The Flame”, “Goodbye Is Forever”, “Keep Me in the Dark”, “Missing”, “Say the Word”, and “The Promise”.

An interesting fact about Arcadia is that they were one of the first acts to be signed by Simon Fuller’s management company, 19 Entertainment.
