Anthony Phillips

Anthony Phillips is an English singer, songwriter, guitarist, and multi-instrumentalist best known as the original lead guitarist and founding member of the progressive rock band Genesis. He was a member of the band from 1967 to 1970, when he left to pursue a solo career.

Phillips' most successful and acclaimed solo albums include 1984's Private Parts & Pieces, a compilation of his work from 1974-1984, and 1984's 1984, which featured the single "Sides". Other popular releases include 1984's Slow Dance, 1985's Invisible Men, and 1986's The Geese & the Ghost.

Phillips' most popular songs include "Sides", "Don't Lose Your Way", "Time and Tide", "Aquamarine", "Sister Sarah", and "Harvest of the Heart".

An interesting fact about Anthony Phillips is that in 1997 he released a book called "The Living Room Concerts", which was a compilation of recordings from informal concerts he gave in his living room from 1982-1984.
