Anne-Sophie Mutter is a German violinist who began playing at the age of 5. She has won numerous awards, including the Ernst von Siemens Music Prize, the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Royal Philharmonic Society Gold Medal.

Mutter has released over 40 albums, ranging from classical to jazz, pop and rock. She has recorded numerous works by composers such as Beethoven, Mozart, Brahms and Mendelssohn, as well as works by living composers such as John Williams and Krzysztof Penderecki. Standout albums include Beethoven: The Violin Sonatas, which won the Grammy Award for Best Instrumental Soloist Performance (with Orchestra) in 2007, and her album with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, which won the Grammy Award for Best Classical Instrumental Solo in 2006.

Some of her most popular songs include Beethoven’s Violin Sonata No. 9, Bach’s Violin Concerto in A Minor and Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 4.
