Andreas Vollenweider is a Swiss harpist and composer who is renowned for his unique blend of folk, classical, and jazz styles. He began playing the harp at the age of five, and soon began composing his own music. He released his first album, “Behind the Gardens – Behind the Wall – Under the Tree”, in 1981, and since then has released twelve studio albums. Vollenweider's most popular albums include “Dancing With The Lion” (1987), “Book Of Roses” (1992), “Eolian Minstrel” (1996) and “Cosmopoly” (2007). His standout songs include “Night Fire Dance”, “The White Wind”, “Behind the Garden” and “Cosmopoly”. An interesting fact about Andreas Vollenweider is that he has been nominated for nine Grammy awards, winning three. He also has collaborated with various other musicians, such as Bobby McFerrin, Jon Anderson of Yes, and jazz artist Herbie Hancock.
