Allison Durbin Vinyl Records

Allison Durbin is an Australian country singer and songwriter who rose to fame in the late 1960s and early 1970s. She was one of the first Australian singers to achieve international success, and her single "I Have Loved Me a Man" was a hit in the United Kingdom, Ireland and the United States.

Durbin's first two albums, I Have Loved Me a Man and I Remember Romance, were released in 1968 and 1969 respectively and both reached the top ten in the Australian music charts. The albums contained some of her best-known songs, including "Gonna Get Along Without You Now", "I Remember Romance" and "My Best Friend".

In 1971, Durbin released her third album, The World of Allison Durbin. The album contained her biggest hit, "Love Is a Word", which reached number one in Australia and New Zealand and was certified Gold in Australia.

An interesting fact about Durbin is that she was the first woman to win the prestigious Country Music Awards of Australia in 1970. She also won the award again in 1971 and 1972.
