Alison Moyet Vinyl Records

Alison Moyet is an English singer, songwriter and performer. She rose to fame in the early 1980s as half of the synthpop duo Yazoo, alongside Vince Clarke. She has since had a successful solo career, releasing nine studio albums, with her most recent, Other, released in 2018.

Moyet's solo breakthrough came with her debut solo album, Alf, released in 1984. The album peaked at number four on the UK Albums Chart and was certified Platinum. It included the hit singles "Love Resurrection" and "All Cried Out". Her second album, Raindancing, released in 1987, featured the Top 10 single "Is This Love?". Her third album, Hoodoo, released in 1991, featured the Top 5 single "It Won't Be Long".

Moyet's other standout albums include Essex (1994), Hometime (2002), Voice (2004) and The Minutes (2013). Her most successful single to date is the 1985 track "All Cried Out", which peaked at number four on the UK Singles Chart. Other hits include "Love Letters" (1985), "Weak in the Presence of Beauty" (1986), "Is This Love?" (1987) and "Whispering Your Name" (1994).

An interesting fact about Alison Moyet is that in 2005 she was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for her services to music.
