Alicia Bridges is an American singer-songwriter and disco artist who rose to prominence in the late 1970s. She is best known for her hit single, "I Love the Nightlife (Disco 'Round)", which was released in 1978.

Bridges was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina and moved to Los Angeles in her early twenties. She began performing in clubs and in 1978, was signed to Polydor Records.

Her debut album, Alicia Bridges, was released in 1978 and spawned the hit single, "I Love the Nightlife (Disco 'Round)". The song became an instant hit and earned Bridges a gold record. Other notable singles from the album include "Body Heat", "Who's Gonna Make My Mistakes", and "Hey Fool".

Her follow-up album, What a Woman Wants, was released in 1980 and featured the singles "Ain't Gonna Bump No More (With No Big Fat Woman)", "Who Do You Love", and "Who Can Stop the Rain".

An interesting fact about Bridges is that her song "I Love the Nightlife (Disco 'Round)" was used as the theme song for the long-running television show, Solid Gold.
