Alice Cooper is an American rock band formed in Phoenix, Arizona in 1964. The band's original lineup consisted of vocalist Vince Furnier (later known as Alice Cooper), guitarists Glen Buxton and Michael Bruce, bassist Dennis Dunaway, and drummer Neal Smith.

Alice Cooper's early albums, Pretties for You (1969) and Easy Action (1970), featured a psychedelic rock sound. The band then released their breakthrough album Love It to Death (1971), which featured the single "I'm Eighteen" and reached the top 40 of the Billboard 200 chart. Their follow-up album, Killer (1971), was even more successful, spawning the hit singles "Under My Wheels" and "Be My Lover" and reaching No. 21 on the Billboard chart.

Alice Cooper's most successful album is their 1972 release, School's Out, which featured the hit title track. The album reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart and remained on the chart for 50 weeks. Other popular Alice Cooper albums include Billion Dollar Babies (1973), Muscle of Love (1973), Welcome to My Nightmare (1975), and Trash (1989).

Some of Alice Cooper's most popular songs include "No More Mr. Nice Guy," "Only Women Bleed," "Poison," "Hey Stoopid," and "School's Out."

An interesting fact about Alice Cooper is that the band is named after frontman Vince Furnier, who legally changed his name to Alice Cooper in 1974.
