It's been 35 years since Daniel Johnston's cassette albums "Hi How Are You" and "Yip Jump Music" delighted the world in 1983, and now both albums are being released combined for the first time. The individual vinyl versions have been out of print for over 10 years. This 35th anniversary edition includes a poster featuring the artwork from "Hi How Are You", best known for Kurt Cobain's famous t-shirt"Yip Jump Music", in turn, was one of Kurt Cobain's favorite albums. Many songs on "Yip Jump Music" were later recorded by other bands and musicians: "Speeding Motorcycle" is one of Johnston's most famous songs and was covered by Yo La Tengo and The Pastels. "King Kong" was taken from Tom Waits, and "Rocket Ship" was adapted by The Dead Milkmen. Yeah Yeah Yeah's frontwoman Karen O. dedicated herself to "Worried Shoes." And the song "Casper The Friendly Ghost" was used in the 1995 cult film "Kids".
