Silverchair – Freak Show

"Freak Show" is the 2nd album of the popular Australian band Silverchair, which conquered the charts worldwide. After their debut "Frogstomp", they fused more elements in their music to arrive at the cool style of this album.

"Freak Show" contains many strong hooks and the band also went one better with the songwriting. This post-grunge album is noticeably more versatile compared to earlier works and marks the beginning of the band's final sound, which Silverchair still stand for today.

Silverchair was an Australian rock band formed in 1992 that has sold over 9 million albums worldwide. Their sound evolved over the years from grunge and alternative rock to pop and art rock. In 2011 they announced their "indefinite hibernation" and it is still unknown if they will ever return to the stage. Until then, all vinyl enthusiasts can enjoy the excellent editions from Music on Vinyl. The label is gradually reissuing the band's catalogue.
