Spandau Ballet – True

"True" was the third studio album by British New Wave heroes Spandau Ballet, one of the most successful bands of the New Romantic movement. It was released in March 1983

While the first two Spandau Ballet albums brought them fame in Europe in Europe, "True" made them international stars and was heavily influenced was heavily influenced by jazz, soul and R&B. The New Romantic era was drawing to a close; Spandau Ballet devoted themselves to a new sound on "True": pop pop R&B melodies were polished to a high gloss. This Approach paid off

"True" topped the british charts, made it into the American Top 20 and conquered charts on the and charted all over the world. The Title track topped the UK singles chart for four weeks and claimed number four in the US The album spawned "Gold" (number two in the UK; Top 30 in the US), "Lifeline", "Communication" and "Pleasure".
