Eight years ago, Berlin curator DJ Supermarkt released his "Too Slow To Disco" compilation for the first time. His concept then as now: to track down forgotten and overlooked gems from the mid-'70s to early '80s in soft pop, yacht rock, AOR and the like and make them accessible to a wider public.

While there were always big names on the "Too Slow To Disco" releases - Fleetwood Mac, Hall & Oates, Doobie Brothers - the most exciting were the artists from the second or third tier. Their names were mostly unknown, but their songwriting or producing activities were not.

On "Too Slow To Disco Vol. 4" this category includes Kenny Nolan, who wrote "Lady Marmalade", or The Dukes, who are responsible for hits by Sheena Easton, Air Supply and Chaka Khan.
