  • Carole King is one of the most important and influential musicians of all time. The American singer and musician is the most successful female songwriter of the second half of the 20th century in the United States.

    With "Carole King In Concert - Live At The BBC, 1971" there is a historic concert recording in 2022. The title gives it away: it's a recording for the "BBC In Concert Series" in 1971, produced by the series' producer Stanley Dorfman.

    The recording includes eight songs, hits from their breakthrough second album "Tapestry," including the singles "It's Too Late," "Feel The Earth Move," "So Far Away" and "Smackwater Jack." "Tapestry" was released in 1971 on Ode Records and was produced by Lou Adler. The album was certified 13-times platinum by the RIAA and is one of the best-selling albums of all time, with over 25 million copies worldwide. in 1972, it won four Grammys, including the one for "Album of the Year."
