  • Dominic Miller has already composed for world stars such as Phil Collins, Sting or Ronan Keating, worked with Bryan Adams, Plácido Domingo, Donovan, Tina Turner and many more. But the guitarist has also been successfully active as a solo artist for more than 20 years.

    "Silent Light" is the name of the guitarist's new instrumental album, his debut on the Munich jazz label ECM

    After long discussions with ECM boss Manfred Eicher about which musicians would be the most suitable for the album, they finally decided on a quiet, reduced and clear solo work.

    Miller recorded a total of eleven songs for this album, with which he once again proves his internationality and musical diversity.

    For example, his new Latin-influenced song "Baden" is a tribute to Brazilian guitarist and composer Baden Powell. "Le Pont" is reminiscent of early 20th century Paris, while "Valium" shows influences of Celtic music.

    In addition to his own songs, "Silent Light" also features an instrumental cover version of the Sting classic "Fields Of Gold".
