    From Her to Eternity is a ferocious debut that established Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds as one of post-punk’s most unsettling and distinctive forces. Released in 1984, it fused raw noise, gothic atmosphere and Cave’s fevered storytelling into a sound that was both abrasive and strangely magnetic. Recorded with a line-up that included Mick Harvey, Blixa Bargeld and Barry Adamson, the album turned songs such as the title track and A Box for Black Paul into vivid studies in obsession, menace and spiritual disarray. It remains a key early statement in Cave’s catalogue and a landmark of alternative rock’s darker edge.
