We Care A Lot announced Faith No More as a band ready to break rules rather than follow them. Their 1985 debut blends post-punk tension, hard-rock heft and sly funk-metal grooves into a restless early statement that already pointed beyond genre boundaries. The title track became an underground calling card, while songs such as As the Worm Turns and Jim showed the group’s knack for sharp hooks, odd humour and jagged dynamics. Before the band’s later breakthrough, this album established the core of their identity: abrasive, inventive and unwilling to sit neatly inside one style.
