Be Yourself Tonight is an LP by Eurythmics from 1985 released on the Starcall Records label.
About this album
Be Yourself Tonight is Eurythmics’ most direct and commercially potent album, sharpening Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart’s pop instincts without losing their synthetic edge. Released in 1985, it broadened the duo’s palette with soul, rock and harder-edged production, while still sounding unmistakably Eurythmics. The album yielded major international hits in Would I Lie to You? and There Must Be an Angel (Playing with My Heart), and also featured Sisters Are Doin’ It for Themselves, a standout collaboration with Aretha Franklin. Its mix of muscular hooks, studio polish and confident songwriting helped cement Eurythmics as one of the defining British pop acts of the decade.
