Who Do We Think We Are is an LP by Deep Purple from 1973 released on the Purple Records label.
About this album
Who Do We Think We Are is a taut, hard-edged Deep Purple album that turned internal strain into lean, muscular rock. Released in 1973, it was the final studio set of the classic Mk II line-up, with Ian Gillan, Ritchie Blackmore, Jon Lord, Roger Glover and Ian Paice pushing a sharper blues-rock attack after the blockbuster success of Machine Head. Woman From Tokyo became the standout single, while tracks such as Mary Long and Rat Bat Blue show the band balancing heft, groove and volatility. The result is one of their most distinctive early-70s records, capturing a pivotal moment before the line-up changed.
