The Cult Vinyl Records

The Cult is a British rock band formed in 1983 in Bradford, England. The band is composed of vocalist Ian Astbury, guitarist Billy Duffy, bassist Grant Fitzpatrick, and drummer John Tempesta.

The Cult’s first album, Dreamtime, was released in 1984. It was followed by the critically acclaimed Love in 1985, which featured their first hit single, "She Sells Sanctuary". The album peaked at number four in the UK Albums Chart and spawned the Top 20 single "Rain". The band's third album, Electric, was released in 1987 and became their highest-charting album in the UK.

The Cult has released a total of nine studio albums, including Sonic Temple in 1989, Ceremony in 1991, and Choice of Weapon in 2012. They are best known for the singles "Fire Woman", "Edie (Ciao Baby)", "Love Removal Machine", and "Sweet Soul Sister".

An interesting fact about The Cult is that their first gig was opening for The Alarm in 1983.
