It was the years 1973 and 1974, Bob Marley & The Wailers had released their first three albums "Burnin", "Catch A Fire" and "Natty Dread" for Island Records. Fortunately, the musical director of the Wailers band, bassist Aston "Family Man" Barrett, always found the time to work with the still relatively unknown Keith Hudson on "Pick A Dub" at Harry J Studio and, as a producer duo, recorded one of the most important dub albums in Jamaican music history.
The two were supported by Aston Barrett, the Wailers' drummer, Earl "Chinna" Smith (guitar), Augustus Pablo (melodica) and the musicians of the Soul Syndicate session band. A unique collaboration that has lost none of its fascination even today, over 40 years later!
