Madness Vinyl Records

Madness is an English ska band formed in 1976. The original lineup included seven members: Mike Barson, Chris Foreman, Lee Thompson, Graham McPherson, Mark Bedford, Cathal Smyth, and Daniel Woodgate. They are known for their catchy, upbeat tunes, incorporating ska, reggae, and punk influences.

Their debut album One Step Beyond... (1979) is considered a ska classic. It featured the hit singles “One Step Beyond”, “My Girl”, and “The Prince”. Their follow-up album Absolutely (1980) included the hit singles “Baggy Trousers”, “Embarrassment”, and “Grey Day”. Their third album, 7 (1981), included the hit singles “It Must Be Love” and “Driving In My Car”.

Other standout albums include The Rise & Fall (1982), Keep Moving (1984), and Divine Madness (1992). Standout singles include “Our House”, “House of Fun”, “Wings of a Dove”, and “Our Mutual Friend”.

An interesting fact about Madness is that they were the first UK band to have a self-titled top ten album in the United States.
