Kenny Loggins is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist, best known for his work as a solo artist and with the duo Loggins and Messina. He has released a total of 18 studio albums and has written and co-written numerous hit singles, most notably "Footloose" (1984), "Danger Zone" (1986), and "I'm Alright" (1988).

Loggins' breakout solo album was the 1978 release Celebrate Me Home, which produced the hit singles "Whenever I Call You Friend" (with Stevie Nicks) and "I Believe in Love." This was followed by the 1979 album Keep the Fire, which contained the hit single "This Is It" and featured a duet with Michael McDonald.

Loggins' most successful album was 1984's Footloose, the soundtrack to the movie of the same name, which contained the chart-topping single "Footloose" as well as other hits such as "I'm Free (Heaven Helps the Man)" and "Let's Hear It for the Boy." His 1988 album High Adventure yielded the hits "Nobody's Fool" and "Danger Zone."

An interesting fact about Kenny Loggins is that he was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2004. He has also won numerous awards, including a Grammy Award for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for "This Is It" (1980).
