Built from lounge, jazz and easy-listening colours, the album gives the film’s love story a late-night melancholy and a dry, theatrical charm. Songs such as “Is There Any Way Out Of This Dream?”, “One’s From The Heart” and “Take Me Home” helped make it one of the more distinctive soundtrack albums of the early 1980s, admired for its character and atmosphere.
