Released in 1986, it was recorded during a turbulent period for the band and became the first Stones studio album made without Charlie Watts on every track, with drum duties shared between Watts and Jim Keltner. Co-produced by Steve Lillywhite, the record folds together snarling rockers such as One Hit (To The Body) and Fight with the sly chart success of Harlem Shuffle. Its combative tone and glossy-then-gritty production made it a notable late-period statement from a band refusing to go quietly.
