Released in 1988, it introduced Jeff Healey’s remarkable left-handed, lap-style guitar playing and the band’s tight, radio-ready attack to a wider audience. Produced by Greg Ladanyi and Albert Grossman, the album balances hard-edged originals with a sharp remake of blues standard Hideaway, while Angel Eyes became the breakout hit that carried the record into the mainstream. Its mix of musicianship, hooks and grit helped make Healey one of the most distinctive guitar voices of his era.
