Revolver is The Beatles’ boldest leap forward and one of the defining albums of the 1960s. Released in 1966, it pushed far beyond pop convention with sharp songwriting, inventive studio techniques and a new psychedelic edge. Tracks such as Taxman, Eleanor Rigby, Tomorrow Never Knows and She Said She Said show the band expanding what a rock album could sound like, from string-driven chamber pop to tape loops and भारतीय-inspired textures. Produced by George Martin, the record marked a creative turning point for the group and helped set the template for artful, studio-driven rock that followed.
