Speaking In Tongues is an LP by Talking Heads from 2013 released on the Rhino Vinyl, Sire label.
About this album
Speaking in Tongues is a landmark Talking Heads release, sharpening the band’s art-rock ideas into something leaner, funkier and more accessible. Issued in 1983, it followed the David Byrne, Jerry Harrison, Tina Weymouth and Chris Frantz partnership at full creative strength, with the album’s grooves and nervous energy carrying songs such as Burning Down the House, Girlfriend Is Better and This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody) into wider pop culture. Produced with a tighter, more rhythmic focus than their earlier work, it helped define the band’s crossover appeal and remains one of their most celebrated records.
