Fear Of Music is an LP by Talking Heads from 1979 released on the Sire label.
About this album
Fear of Music is Talking Heads at their most inventive and unsettling, sharpening post-punk into something restless, witty and deeply modern. Released in 1979, the album pushed beyond the band’s early new wave edges with Brian Eno helping shape its angular textures and rhythmic tension. Songs such as I Zimbra and Life During Wartime brought tribal percussion, nervous funk and clipped guitar lines into a dense portrait of urban paranoia and cultural dislocation. Widely regarded as one of the band’s defining records, it helped establish Talking Heads as one of the era’s most original and influential art-rock groups.
