The Art Of Falling Apart is an LP by Soft Cell from 1983 released on the Some Bizzare label.
About this album
The Art of Falling Apart is Soft Cell’s darker, more abrasive second album, sharpening the duo’s synth-pop formula into something colder and more restless. Issued in 1983, it followed the huge success of Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret and showed Marc Almond and Dave Ball pushing beyond cabaret-pop hooks into harsher electronics, bleak humour and emotional friction. Produced with a larger, more confrontational sound, the album reflects the strain and volatility of the period while still delivering the sharp melodic instinct that made Soft Cell distinctive. It remains an important document of early-’80s electronic pop at its most brittle and self-aware.
