"Ogdens' Nut Gone Flake", recorded in late 1967 and early 1968 and released in the summer of 1968, is the Small Faces' best-known and most successful work and reached the top of the British album charts.
Alongside tracks such as "Lazy Sunday", "Afterglow" and "Rollin' Over", it contained a conceptual twist with the eccentric story of "Happiness Stan", narrated by Stanley Unwin. With the full support of Kenney Jones and the late Ian McLagan, Charly Records embarked on an extensive tape restoration and enhancement program. Masters were pulled from all over the world, including Immediate Label multitracks from the Kenney Jones and Charly Records archives. As a result, it is now possible to reproduce all the original Small Faces albums as never before since the sixties.
