    Long Live Rock 'N' Roll is Rainbow at its heaviest and most confident, pushing Ritchie Blackmore’s post-Deep Purple project into harder, darker territory. Issued in 1978, the album pairs Ronnie James Dio’s commanding vocals with Blackmore’s guitar work across storming tracks such as the title song and Kill the King, while Gates of Babylon and Rainbow Eyes show the band’s flair for drama and contrast. Produced by Roger Glover, it helped define the sound of late-70s hard rock and heavy metal, combining precision, melody and spectacle in a way that became hugely influential on the genre’s next generation.
